One hundred
years ago, people all over the world woke up to awful news. The ‘unsinkable
ship’ as they called it had sunk.
Last night,
around the same time that the Titanic hit the iceberg I went to see the 3D
version of the well known movie with friends. Of course I cried. Of course I hoped
that Rose would move over so that Jack could join her on that door. Of course I
ate way too much popcorn.
The Titanic
always fascinated me. When the movie came out I was only seven and I was unable
to understand it all. A few years later, I remember going to an exposition
about it in Ghent and I couldn’t stop reading about it ever since.
Love,
Sara
PS: I just had to include these Downton Abbey screencaps...
LOVE this post <3 Titanic is my favorite movie ever. Love this so much :)
ReplyDeleteI watched the Titanic almost religiously when I was younger! I still haven't seen the 3D version but I have a feeling when I do I'll eat a lot of popcorn too haha
ReplyDeleteWe're planning to see the movie this coming weekend! So so good!
ReplyDeleteAhh, it was a whole different experience in 3D. You almost forget how amazing it is, when you're watching it on tv, and you get distracted, or hungry, or you have to pause it for whatever reason. I was bawling like a baby in the theatre.

Planning on watching the movie this week, such a good film! Hope you have a good week yourself, xoxo louise from 'today and tomorrow'
ReplyDeleteI'd be scared to go see it in the theaters because of my wailing haha but I bet it's a whole different experience.
ReplyDeleteOmg...Downton Abbey has become my crack. It's ridiculous how obsessed I am with it. I'm only in Season 2 but am just really hoping that Branson and Cybil get together, I love him!

such a crazy story..awesome photos to capture the moment
ReplyDeleteI remember when the Titanic movie first came out... I tried so many times to go to the show but it was always sold out. And no wonder! It's such a timeless story. But just like you, I always wish Rose would move over on the door so that she and Jack could bothe survive :)

ReplyDeleteA very nice post...I enjoyed it! A new follower
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I always wondered by Rose didn't scoot over! My husband said they both would have sunk....but how do they know if they didn't try?!

The first time I saw it, I was too young to understand it but I still loved it and soaked in all the information as I do today.
ReplyDeletea while back, I became so facinated with the Titanic that I started watching a bunch of documentaries about it... I still can't even imagine what it was like to be there in person. crazy.
ReplyDeleteDownton Abbey is one of my absolute favourite costume series. Didn't see the Titanic movie yet, curious now :).

What a lovely blog! I haven't seen Titantic in 3-D yet, but I'm actually not the greatest fan of the movie (although the Rose-Jack relationship is pretty romantic!), though my friends are all looking forward to it! Ah, and Downton Abbey screenshots - I love the series - and the clothing! X
