What a weekend! On Saturday, I went to a Jubilee picnic hosted by one of my favorite shops near Brussels. It was a beautiful sunny day in the countryside…

Of course, I also made a Victoria Sponge cake.
A Jubilee without a Victoria Sponge cake? One is not amused!

How was your Jubilee weekend everyone? Did you do something special?

Love,
Sara

  3. That sponge cake looks DELICIOUS! Also, I've been seeing quite a lot of posts about this, and I was wondering, since I had genuinely never heard of this before, if this was a holiday? Does it happen every year? Sounds interesting!

  5. As usual, these pictures are amazing! I have been covering the Jubilee for the magazine I work at and am so jealous of anyone who gets to be in England or Europe for it! Love the looks of that sponge cake - yum!

  8. Ca avait l'air très chouette ! Pour ma part j'ai regardé le jubilé à la télé, lovée dans le canapé avec ma maman et mangeant des sucreries.

  15. I loved seeing all of your Jubilee photos on Instagram - Queen Elizabeth is the queen of my country and we didn't have anything like these kinds of celebrations, all of the little touches are just perfect. And the cake looks incredible!

  22. You are such a doll!

I wish I could have been part of these festivities. Sadly for me - I've spent my weekend studying and staring through my kitchen window.

    May your weekend be lovely!

Merci beaucoup!

Come a little bit closer, hear what I have to say. Just like children sleepin', we could dream this night away.
