First, I want to thank all of you for all the great and encouraging comments on this blog. This little place turned 1 two days ago and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

Here are finally some pictures of my vacation in de French/Swiss Alps. Editing these pictures made me miss it even more. As usual I’m experiencing ‘post-mountains blues’ and I can’t wait to go back in July.

As you can tell from the pictures I had a wonderful time. Nobody on the slopes, lots of snow and sun but, holy smoke, it was cold (-26C/ -15F)! Even my super expensive GORE-TEX gloves couldn’t keep me warm (but the many hot chocolate stops did).

Before leaving I made this amazing mixtape, including the new First Aid Kit album, Bon Iver, Ben Howard and many more…, that made the eight hour drive less long.

    Looks amazing! I just arrived for my ski holiday here inAustria, can't wait to get o nthe piste tomorow morning now!

    gosh the view is stunning! i visited the alps during the summer so i didn't get to see the snow if full swing but i saw a little!

    wow, jealous. i haven't snowboarded in several years and i do miss it. i don't really have an excuse except that i'm a cheap bastard! someday i would love to visit the alps. i saw them from afar in switzerland, but i've never been up in the mountains for real :) i'm not jealous of those temperatures, however. i basically don't leave the house if it dips below 0F around here...

    ooh belated birthdaywishes from me too! and ah, the snow looks so gorgeous but any type of skiing holiday isn't my thing at all, I suck so bad at skiing and standing the cold :D
