I can’t believe these pictures turned out the way I wanted them to be.
You may or may not know that Europe was hit by a cold wave two weeks ago and I was literally freezing my butt off. While taking these pictures I even thought my camera would stop working because of the cold.
Ofcourse, I wasn’t complaining, I absolutely love the cold.

I wish I could have stayed a bit longer in the tipi (maybe even bring my sleeping bag). It was cozy and I had the most wonderful view.
I do not regret going outside to take these pictures while my family was having tea, because it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen.
For me, there’s nothing more beautiful than the sun setting behind the mountains.

First, I want to thank all of you for all the great and encouraging comments on this blog. This little place turned 1 two days ago and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

Here are finally some pictures of my vacation in de French/Swiss Alps. Editing these pictures made me miss it even more. As usual I’m experiencing ‘post-mountains blues’ and I can’t wait to go back in July.

As you can tell from the pictures I had a wonderful time. Nobody on the slopes, lots of snow and sun but, holy smoke, it was cold (-26C/ -15F)! Even my super expensive GORE-TEX gloves couldn’t keep me warm (but the many hot chocolate stops did).

Before leaving I made this amazing mixtape, including the new First Aid Kit album, Bon Iver, Ben Howard and many more…, that made the eight hour drive less long.
