Happy September 1st!

Personally, I don’t believe in ‘New Year’s resolutions’ but in September Resolutions. September has always been the month of changes.

In Belgium, school always starts on September 1st. A new backpack, crayons, lunchbox and seeing your friends again after two months of summer vacation playing in the sun. I remember when I was younger I was always happy to see Horse Chestnut leaves falling on the ground at the end of August because I knew it was almost time to go back to school. I think that’s when Autumn became my favorite season.

Now it’s not about crayons and pencil cases anymore but about ankle boots, coats and scarves. The moment when it gets colder outside and you have to start wearing mittens and a big scarf to keep you warm, that’s when I’m truly happy.

All these different colors, cranberry muffins, apple cider, pumpkin pie (anything with pumpkin actually), blueberries, hot chocolate, Halloween, cinnamon tea, mushrooms, Thanksgiving, … all lead to another beautiful season, winter.

One of my resolutions this year was to learn how to knit. Right know I’m knitting my first scarf for my mom’s upcoming birthday. Wish me luck!

    Fall is my favourite season! so sure I am excited for fall!

    I am starting to think September is going to be a good month. Everyone seems to be blogging about how happy they are it is not August anymore! haha I glad that fall is coming too. Today a lady at work bought a pumpkin candle that smelt soo good! It made me want some hot chocolate :)

    That's interesting because I've always thought they should just change it so that September 1st is the first day of the year. We grow up with this mind set because of school, and I've personally never been able to let it go. January is just so arbitrary!

    Sweet photos, oh how I love autumn! I remember I use to get so excited getting an awesome new pencil case at the start of a the term, oh and a tonne of wrapping paper and stickers to cover my school books in, tehe... Now it's all about new bags, boots, and the "what to wear for the first day" drama - I want to look like I made an effort, but at the same time like I made no effort at all ;) haha.

    Yesss, I'm so excited about fall. I love love love it. It's one of my favorite times of the year. Fall foods are the best!

    I absolutely adore fall, the air is so crisp and you get to be warm and cozy in scarves and layers. And I totally agree, September will always be my start of the year too! January just seems too cold to be trying to break out something fresh!
