A summer day at the lake
Monday, July 25, 2011
Lake Annecy.
It is the second largest lake in France and let me tell you, this place is magical. No wonder Annecy is called ‘Venise of the Alps’. The water is so pure and the perfect shade of lake blue.
A little heaven between the mountain tops!
The day we visited Annecy we were very lucky because we had 35° C (95° F) and clear blue sky. It was such a gorgeous summer day…
My only regret is that I didn’t have my polka dot bikini with me because I was very tempted to just jump in the water!
Have great week,
Love,
Sara

The fresh mountain air...

Hi everyone!
If you are reading this, I’m not at the seaside anymore but somewhere on a Swiss mountain top…
That’s right, I’m off again!
This time, I’m enjoying the fresh mountain air in the Swiss and French Alps. I will be eating cheese and Swiss chocolate, go hiking, play tennis, swim in mountain lakes and taking pictures of beautiful flowers…
I hope you are having a great vacation too…
See you soon!
Love,
Sara
Summer Breeze
Wednesday, July 6, 2011
Sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom.
July is dressed up and playing her tune.
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine,
blowing through the jasmine in my mind. And I’m off to the seaside again! This time with some friends…
In my bag you will find my summer essentials: a lace dress, a pair of Swedish Hasbeens, a tan purse and my favorite headphones.
If you follow me on Twitter you must know by now that I just love the ‘Dazed and Confused’ soundtrack (and movie).
It’s really a great summer album and this song in particular is my favorite song on the soundtrack… Summer breeze by Seals & Crofts.
1972 must have been a great year if you ask me!
Bye bye,
Sara

(you must listen to that song, it's a French sixties summer song by Dalida)
Well, it certainly has been a little quiet around here and I’m sorry about that.
I’ve been really busy with school but now I can finally enjoy some time off. I’m so happy I can relax and take some time for myself.
To start off my vacation I watched my favorite summer movie (Dazed & Confused, you must watch it, it’s really great) and on Friday I went swimming with a couple of friends (carlota & lippylash) and ate banana/blueberry ice cream.
After that I went to the seaside with my family for two days and lay in the sun almost the entire weekend. It’s a great feeling to have sun on your skin and sand between your toes!
Time now to watch more movies, read magazines, eat cherries, and buy beautiful flowers at the farmers market.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend too…
Love,
Sara
