Looks like
Spring is here to stay.
After a
terrible cold month of May the sun is finally shining again. The temperatures
are rising and I find myself browsing through my summer dresses and sandals
every morning. We thought these sunny days would never come.
It’s the
perfect opportunity to finally wear the new items I got at H&M lately.
Light knits and statement skirts are the highlight of their Spring collection
this year. The combination of grey and orange items is absolutely perfect.
The pineapple
espadrilles (my favorite summer footwear) are still on my wishlist and I hope
to find them before my summer holiday starts.
Thank you
H&M for this lovely afternoon.
Love,
Sara
PS: Most of
the clothes are in store now.
If you’re lucky enough to find yourself in Brussels (Belgium), go and visit the ‘Yves Saint Laurent’
exhibition.
It shows for the first time, how Yves Saint Laurent's designs and concepts have radically changed the world of fashion, turning it into what it is today. The exhibition focuses on the visionary power of this flamboyant designer. This collection, which has never been seen before, has been put together in conjunction with the Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation.
After not being able to go to the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition when I was in Montreal in 2008, I was happy to finally see Yves’ talented work. The sixties and seventies are my favorite decades and it goes without saying that he is one of my favorite designers of that time.
And yes, the
Mondrian day dress is a beauty in real life.
Love,
Sara
Note: The exhibition runs from 30 January to 5 May 2013 in the ING Cultural Centre, Place Royale 6, 1000 Brussels. Open every day, including public holidays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday evenings until 9 p.m.
The prettiest things are often found in my mailbox.
Have a lovely weekend,
Sara
*I want to thank Nicole of La Buena Vida and Amy of Stitch & Hammer for this amazing gift..

The first thing I saw on the internet today were these pictures of William & Catherine from last night.
How beautiful is Catherine’s dress?
I’m really into nude/pink colors lately and I think it’s really pretty.
But the thing is; I knew I had seen that dress before.
It was only after reading an article about the upcoming Royal Wedding in Monaco that I knew where I saw it… On Gossip Girl!
Blair wore a similar dress when her prince (Louis of Monaco) proposed to her.
If this was real life, Catherine and Blair would totally be BFFs, don’t you think?
Who do you think wore it best, Catherine or Blair?
Have a lovely weekend,
Sara
(Sorry for the lack of updates and the absence of outfit posts but I’ve been really busy…)

On Sunday, I needed a break from studying for the finals and went to Brussels city to witness something extraordinary.
Hermès was having a ‘Festival of Crafts’ to show the world their craftsmanship in every detail.
It was really weird to touch every material (silk, leather) and to photograph every step that is needed to make a scarf, a handbag or a watch.
(this only a small selection of pictures, I’ll upload them on flickr too)
As you can see, I also bought a new lens (EF 50mm f/1.8 II) for my Canon. After seeing Kris Atomic beautiful pictures, I just needed a 50 mm lens…
I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do.
Love,
Sara

Come a little bit closer, hear what I have to say. Just like children sleepin', we could dream this night away.
