The Christmas rug and bear cushion are already on my wishlist for next year!

How cute is that Christmas pudding ornament?

Look at the date!

Can you believe Christmas is only one week away? ONE WEEK!
December (October and November too if you ask me) has flown by. My favorite time of year is almost over.
Luckily, we end every year with a festive season. Nothing makes me happier than Christmas time. If I would live by myself I would play Christmas songs around the house as early as October!

Every November, I make my Christmas wishlist and I start searching for the perfect gifts for my beloved ones.

I was browsing through ASOS to find the perfect winter scarf when I found this red beauty. After some research on the internet, I came across ‘Johnstons of Elgin’.

I love finding out more about the history of a brand. I find it fascinating how a brand changes (or doesn’t change) over the years. Yes, I love my Yardley soap, my Nivea Face cream and my vintage Delvaux bag. Brands with a lot of history.

“With a rich history dating back to 1797, heritage brand ‘Johnstons of Elgin’ are renowned for manufacturing the finest cashmere cloth, knitwear and accessories. Sourcing their premium cashmere from farmers in Inner Mongolia, they look to sustainability of the herds and good pastures to ensure for luxury blends. ‘Johnstons’ offer impeccable craftsmanship across a contemporary edit of knitted scarves, socks and hats.” (from the ASOS website)

I immediately ordered the Christmas catalog and fell in love with it! This is how Christmas is supposed to look like. Cozy, snug and with a lot of tartan!

So, if you are still searching for a gift for that special someone, you can’t go wrong with a classic item from ‘Johnstons of Elgin’.

As I’m writing this by the Christmas tree, I can already see a present with my name on it. My little finger tells me it may be the red scarf. Thank you, Santa!

I hope you will have a lovely weekend baking Christmas cookies and drinking eggnog!

Love,
Sara

I almost forgot about these pictures!

Back in October, we had an Indian Summer with lots of beautiful and warm weather (20° C/ 68°F).
Leaves just started changing colors and we picked our first pears in the orchards.

On a Monday morning we decided to go to the Annevoie Castle and gardens. The gardens were created in 1758 by Charles-Alexis de Montpellier and are the result of French strictness and English imagination brought together.

We ended the day with a ‘croque monsieur’ and homemade apple pie made with vegetables and fruits from the garden. I also bought a couple pumpkins to decorate my front door.

Every time I visit a castle, I can’t help but play ‘Marie-Antoinette’ by Sofia Coppola in my head. Sadly, there wasn’t a LadurĂ©e nearby…

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I can’t believe that it will be Christmas in less than two weeks!

Love,
Sara

I know, there are a lot of photos but I just couldn't make a selection... I hope you don't mind.
